About The Role

The Journey Platform  is looking for a charismatic and skilled Sales Development Representative who excels in engaging potential clients through quick, compelling conversations and effective messaging. The ideal candidate should be a natural 'people person' with a heart for sales, able to capture attention and generate interest quickly.

This role is our first internal SDR hire, allowing this to be a unique candidate to help define the company’s sales development strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage potential clients through targeted messaging and swift, impactful conversations.
  • Create intriguing messages that draw attention and curiosity.
  • Initiate short, effective conversations that pique interest and lead to sales meetings.
  • Understand and confidently use language relevant to the prospects’ industry.
  • Proactively generate leads and connections independently

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sales or customer engagement roles.
  • Proven experience engaging with C-level executives, specifically CEOs.
  • Proven experience with outbound sales.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A natural ability to connect with people and spark interest in our offerings.
  • Comfort with technology and technical terminology.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to build relationships independently.
  • Native English speaker.
  • Willingness to work Monday - Fridays  and US hours.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot.
  • Proficient in using LinkedIn for networking and lead generation.
  • Familiarity with other sales enablement tools and platforms such as Apollo.io

Preferred:

  • At least one prior role in a sales or customer engagement capacity in the tech industry.
  • Consulting background - BIG plus.
